Quality Manager
Basildon, Essex
£28,000 - £38,500 depending on experience
This is a permanent full time position working for a large manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex. As Quality Manager you will provide specialist support to Business Segments, Staff and Integration Functions operating on the Basildon site in relation to Process & Quality improvement activities. You will also be required to assist segments in areas such as quality planning, product conformance, product and process non-conformance control and customer satisfaction assurance.
To be considered for this position you MUST have management experience in the implementation and co-ordination of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems and at least five years product development / manufacturing or quality management experience. My client is looking for someone with an HNC / HND in an Engineering discipline (graduate calibre preferred). You should also be a trained internal quality auditor for both quality and environmental management systems.
As Quality Manager you will work with the Head of Quality to ensure that the site complies with and continues to develop suitable and appropriate procedures, processes and policies with the company’s structure.
Responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the Senior Quality Manager and Head of Quality in managing the ISO 9001:2000 management system requirements
• Implementing an internal audit programme which ensures that activities are conducted in accordance with the defined management system
• Conducting audits of the southern area
• Participate in UK PQI and Quality Team meetings and activities
