IT Systems Administrator
Basildon
£28,000 - £32,000
My client is a large engineering company based in Basildon, Essex. They currently have a vacancy for an IT Administrator to join them on a permanent basis.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
• Implementing and supporting business systems
• Maintaining the existing infrastructure and also setting up new terminal servers and modems across EMEA
• Ensuring implementation and availability of FMS Terminal Services and modems to both Basildon based staff and those working remotely
• Providing good customer service to resolve queries and faults as quickly as possible
To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following skills:
• Excellent overall technical skills
• Knowledge of terminal servers, preferably Systech Corporation units
• In depth knowledge of modems including landline, GSM, GPRS
• Good knowledge of the Hayes command sets
• In depth knowledge of MS Windows server 2000/3, Windows NT, XP operating systems
• Experience of working with remote connectivity including RAS and Cisco VPN
• Some exposure to SCADA would also be an advantage
