Supplier Quality Engineer
Basildon
£25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
This is a permanent full time position working in Basildon for a large manufacturing company.
Working as part of the Operations division of the company, your responsibilities as Supplier Quality Engineer will include:
• Supporting the Product Engineering Department and Procurement Department to ensure that processes are followed resulting in the correct inputs being received within Operations
• Attending bid meetings to help establish the level of support required by the Projects to win and manage new contracts
• Analysing risks for advance Procurement activities feeding into the Project Risk Plans
• Assisting Commodity Managers set up future supply chains
• Co-ordinating estimate requirements, ensuring that costs and lead times are established in a timely manner
• Supporting the procurement team with technical corrective action and continuous improvement programmes, ensuring the correct support is received from around the business
You will be responsible for helping to develop a link between Procurement and the Project Teams, present information to the Project Teams, co-ordinating activities supporting Procurement, Projects and Production Engineering and providing technical and supply chain expertise.
My client is looking for someone who is educated to A level standard (or equivalent) who has previous knowledge of technical aspects of supply chains. You will need to have at least 5 years purchasing / procurement experience gained from within a manufacturing organisation and should possess strong organisational skills.
