Our Client has quickly built a fast growing and profitable book of direct professional sector customers, insuring their PI, liability and property risks.
The next phase of growth is to broaden out the product offering to new areas. Similarly on the broker side of the business, our Client is seeking are expand the online product set and trade electronically with their Partners.
The Product Development Manager is responsible for leading our Client into new areas of insurance for micro businesses which will increase profit and growth.
The key responsibilities are:
• Investigating potential new areas and products to develop
• Proposing robust business cases for new product developments including underwriting, profit and growth
• Working with the Marketing Department to develop customer centric product propositions
• Working with the Underwriting Manager to implement new products and working with IT, Compliance, Operations and Sales.
Key requirements
• Experience of underwriting small business insurance including thorough understanding of what segments are profitable
• Strong account analysis and numeracy skills
• Good interpersonal skills with evidence of problem solving
• Comfortable driving own direction and working with wide range of people across all departments to get the job done
• Preferred product development experience
