Our client are a busy, well established media company that specialise in specific online produts. They are currently seeking a new team member within their SALES DEPARTMENT
The role of SALES DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE involves:
Identifying opportunities from
our prospect database and on behalf of the sales teams, contacting them by telephone with an
initial presentation of company's range of products and services. Once receptive the leads will
be passed to the relevant teams for follow up. The job has a number of set tasks which need
to be completed on a regular basis. The team are also responsible for a number of ad-hoc
projects which can be dropped in at any time.
This role would ideally suit someone with outbound call centre experience or someone with
sales support experience who is looking to move into an entry level sales position
Main Tasks:
1. To promote the companys products and services to a combination of existing customers
and new prospects, using the telephone, mail and e-mail.
2. Working closely with the Sales teams to ensure prospects are managed to maximum effect.
3. Work closely with the Marketing Department to identify new areas and methods for promoting company products and services.
4. Managing and maintaining accurate records.
5. Managing mailing returns and updating them quickly
6. Market research projects/campaigns
7. Working closely with the specific sector liaison manager to ensure continued usage of our online product is maintained
throughout the sector.
Person Specification:
Experience & Skills
Extensive experience working in a business environment .
Understanding and knowledge of the sales process and direct marketing .
Ability to work as part of a team and work autonomously .
Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets .
Excellent oral and written business communication .
Ability to manage a number of different tasks efficiently at the same time .
Understanding of specific sectors and other Public Sector organisations (training will be given) .
Ability to produce own documents using a word processor quickly and accurately .
Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and outlook .
Experience working in a customer service type role .
Ability to manage diary to maximise time at the telephone interface . Flair for spotting business opportunity and
developing working relationships .

Basic salary 14000 - 16000, OTE 16500 - 18500, 25 days holiday, company pension scheme after qualifying period.
