| Training provider are seeking to recruit a keyworker/work placement officer to work with disaffected young people on youth programme. This role is primarily to motivate young people into behaving responsibly, working towards qualifications in college and gaining a work placement with the aim of securing employment. Most of the work is carried out on a one to one basis with young people. Each young person will with the support of a keyworker compile an individual learning plan with suitable aims and objectives. Progress will be reviewed regularly. As work placement is part of the programme there will also be the need to visit learners in their work placements (so car owner is essential). You should be articulate with good personal presentation skills. You will be outgoing with a friendly personality and the ability to be learner focused. It is essential that you will be able to relate to young people between the ages of 14 to 19 from disaffected backgrounds and can deal effectively with challenging behaviour. Experience in a simialar role is essential. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.45 to 5.30 and Fridays 8.45 to 12.30 |
