Job Description

Provision of a Medical Information Service to internal and external customers in support of my clients activities and products in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice and Company guidelines. Primary activities include, but are not limited to: * The assimilation and provision of technical information and guidance to support my clients activities and products both verbally and in written formats, including the production and updating of standard responses and fulfillment of departmental procedures. * To liaise with other departments to ensure that appropriate information is provided in a suitable manner, thereby supporting these internal departments in their activities and optimising the Medical Information resource. * To liaise with health professionals to supply required information in an appropriate manner in support my clients products, thereby enabling the correct and informed selection and usage of such products, and underlining my clients commitment and reputation to the healthcare profession. * Conformation to the ABPI Code of Practice and departmental procedures in all activities. * To support other members of the Medical Information staff in the execution of their duties including the dissemination of product knowledge or related expertise. * To alert the Drug Safety Department to adverse events reported to the Medical Information Department. Skills Required Knowledge of a basic pharmaceutical science. The demonstrable ability to assimilate and disseminate technical information in a satisfactory manner in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice, Company policy and standards expected within the Medical Information Department. Basic computer literacy and the ability to acquire an understanding of, and to satisfactorily utilise the clients operating systems.
