Job Description

Salary: £24000-£26000 pa depending on experience Sector: Public Sector/Not for Profit Location: Greater London/Central London Senior Finance Officer A leading Housing Association is currently seeking an enthusiastic Finance Officer to play an integral role in helping this rapidly expanding organisation grow and develop. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and overseeing the organisations accounts records, management accounts and accounts systems.
  • Providing financial reports and essential information to support strategic and management decisions made by other finance and non-finance staff and trustees.
  • Regularly reviewing, and making recommendations for improvements to financial controls, procedures and policies across the charity and preparing draft policies in collaboration with the Deputy National Director, particularly in response to the auditors` annual recommendations.
  • Preparing Forecasts, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Forecasts and other reports as necessary
  • Monitoring the bank accounts, advising on the release of restricted funds and on the movement of funds from deposit to general accounts.

The successful candidate wills possess the following:

  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification. CIMA/ACCA etc.
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Educated to degree level
  • A positive and enthusiastic person who will thrive in a stimulating and demanding environment
  • An excellent communicator with finance and non-finance colleagues
