    Buyer / Scheduler

    Rayleigh, Essex

    Salary DOE.


    I am looking for someone with at least 2 years purchasing experience to join my client near Rayleigh. As well as procurement experience, this position requires someone with strong negotiation and analytical skills and experience of working with spreadsheets.


    This position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and the successful candidate will be responsible for;

    - Placing orders with UK suppliers
    - Creating & managing order schedules to achieve 98% first time delivery rate
    - Looking at & understanding sales forecasts
    - Communicating internally to look at possible changes to the forecasts i.e. promotional activity

    My client is looking for someone who has;

    - Good communication skills as will be required to liaise with suppliers regarding prices & delivery as well as resolving delivery issues where suppliers have failed
    - Very good MS Excel skills & good knowledge of Access or SQL would be desirable.

    Applicants who are part or full CIPS qualified are preferred, although this is not essential. You must however be goal orientated and actively able to seek alternative solutions. Please add required salary to your application or covering letter.
