Full Description:

A well-known distribution company within the food industry requires an experienced Transport Team Leader to manage, coach and motivate a current team.

To succeed in this role, you will require the following:-

HGV Class 2 Drivers Licence, Coaching Skills, Decision Making, Planning & Organisational skills,and the ability to work on your own initiative. There is an amount of night work required and a knowledge of the Chilled Food Industry would be desirable.

Although this is not a hands-on driving role, you may be required to act as a spare driver in times of abscence, so a Class 2 Licence is essential.

The right candidate must be able to recruit, lead, motivate, coach and develop a small team and you must have a good knowledge of the legal frameworks around driving timeframes and be able to analyse tachographes to ensure they are in line with legislation.

You must have experience of coaching staff to improve performance and be confident in your abilities to install and manage business change. Your career history should also include working to KPI's and a good understanding of Healh & Safety.
